Zero Waste in 3D printing
Even though 3D printing has become a useful and popular technology for prototyping, the process also creates a lot of plastic waste. This waste produced is not guaranteed to be recycled at the end of its life. However, achieving zero waste with this technology can be difficult but not impossible.
This workshop, hosted by the Concordia Precious Plastic Project (CP3) and the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineers, Concordia chapter (CSME Concordia), will outline the environmental issues with 3D printing and tips to reduce your waste.

Microplastics in the Ocean
Did you know that washing your clothes could release microfibers?
This might come as a surprise to you but, simply walking around wearing Synthetic textiles, not washing your clothes, tiny fibers are falling off. These fibers are everywhere and often end up in the ocean.
In this webinar hosted by Emily Richard from the Concordia Precious Plastic Project (CP3) and Miguel Felismino, Biology Masters, with a thesis on the “effects of micro-plastics on fish” we invite you all to take a critical look at the impact of what you wear on the Ocean.
